May 2022 start on a high

New Year 2022
Let everything you do in 2022 be intentional and guided by faith, start each day with gratitude, live in the moment, meditate, and have faith.

Let everything we do in 2022 be intentional and guided by faith. Be intentional to start each day with gratitude. Be intentional to live in the moment. Be intentional as you meditate. Be intentional in creating meaningful relationships. Laugh more and often. Have faith. Give generously and receive graciously.

Estarsense
2021 was the year to declutter my Emotional wardrobe for 2022.

For most of this year, I spent a considerable amount of time decluttering my emotional wardrobe and the TiH Tribe has been with me on that journey.  I have faith each and everyone has learned valuable lessons to carry over to 2022.

The most important thing I learnt is that healing and shifting mindset for optimal holistic health must be done intentionally.  I also learnt healing is not a graceful journey – it is hard, it is exhausting, it is debilitating, it is draining, but the most important take-home message is that you have to go through the emotions.

I discovered ways to stop immersing myself in emotionally draining relationships – there is nothing more detrimental to mental wellbeing than being in relationships that leave you deflated, discouraged and doubtful about yourself.

I discovered there are no benefits to committing to things you don’t want to do – overcommitting leaves you overwhelmed, despising people and hating life.

I have learnt the importance of knowing the people I surround myself with – as much as everyone is entitled to being who they want to be, be careful of accommodating dysfunctional behaviours and accepting maltreatment just because people are who they say they are.

For the coming year, I will live by these mantras:

Self-control is strength

Self-love is power

Self-care is not selfish

Right thought is mastery

Being able to stay calm is a skill worth refining.

These are some of the things I’ve learnt and taking forward into 2022 with renewed vigour and faith

Embracing the power of gratitude – I will strive to find something to be grateful for even in the darkest of days.

Holistic self-care is important for optimal physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and intellectual health.  Giving myself permission and time to unplug, unpack and regroup without guilt, regret or shame: because I can’t be there for others if I can’t look after myself.

Blaming myself for past mistakes or things I had no control over is futile.  I did the best I could with the knowledge and wisdom I had at the time, anything else is just emotional baggage that is not good for me.

I am grateful for those who didn’t love me enough to stay in my life, they have taught me self-love.

Change comes from within – life is like a game of solitaire, as you change all conditions change.

Self-forgiveness – the goal of forgiving yourself is to focus on what you learned rather than what you did wrong.

Happy and prosperous 2022
